Belgrade`s Book Fair 2024: Forensickness

That`s a kick we have value embodying it. What happens on the bookmarket swinging from the hard stones to snakeshade? Belgrad fair in 2024 isn`t an exception - more, twisty miles, walked by readers, finding best, have felt like jumping by the old Mario way.

More than inner trends of this country like to show foreigners exist, but not there. Book fair under the big round top wants to be original, but alike bigger, not that longer. Polako way looks impossible for those who run, staying in the same place.

Looking on the book rows, taken by camera - as the point, to those who couldn`t be there this year - you get that foreign authors are more than honoured, even pilled up on the banners. It's good stand for Ken Follett or Rebecca Yarros, but they speak only with their dreamworks. Who speaks alongside, we just remember.

Cuban cosa as the horn, but not

Anthropology became an upset hideline on this year of Belgrad. Sometimes it looks like new era`s troyan searches, with bones used to be open instead of hard values. Moreover, Pablo Neruda, the author of "Joaquin Murieta`s Life and Death" is mainly a Latin book-speaking author on this fair. 

Miguel Barnet`s "Biografía de un cimarrón" (1966) goes up the headline work, with some little differences in the UK an USA editions. Finely analysed Esteban`s Montejo speech, where a misbehaving son of Cuba declares to make chill even after death, is heard like "clock-clock" of little Rebecca in Marquez hundreds. Why? It's Yugoslavia, babe.

Neighbouring guest, Nataša Rogelja, Ph.D. in Social Anthropology from Ljubljana, comes further, opening seaways to resolve the self-sufficiency needs. That's not only somebody`s experience, but her own family, who had walked by Adriatica like other thousands there. Life on the boat looks like an archetypical roadgate to pilgrimage, and it will be more than hype in local wall-building.

Nataša`s new book, “Trinaesti mesec/ Potreti morskih nomada”, recently announced by "Geopoetika", was one of topics presenting thoughts about time`s takeover. Downshifter Fidel with wild beard comes.

Unbordering human scoes: what or not

Neruda's "Canto General" in the American Academy of Arts countertops "Mi país inventado" of Isabel Allende. Democracy in earliers, boon prizing and living is one of escaping alternatives for radical blackjacking, but more. Infinite plans to go out with the wind from the monstrous place are too familiar, but a house of spirits waits everywhere, paradising.

David Unger from Guatemala knows how gringoes are coming with the power of food ("Jose Feeds The World", "Sleeping With The Light On", "The Mastermind"). Life in Brooklyn don't hinder to go on fair tabledot with "Vivid en el maldito tropico", but Tony Parsons exists.

The role of "Mirror" ex-columnist and active storyteller of 2010-s in "Guardian" shows foggy in "The Work of Goran Petrovic". His best-selling novel about single-parenting and "The Kids", crossed-out with Milena Markovic topwork of this fair, lore more. 

The local language declaring and the brainrot of sloppy kings about crying turkey - what leads royalty? Flood-pop are waited texts in sustainable cities where Piterkins` tales make a ruler.

Fraterness and vouche

Russian poetry in bilingual coll with Serbs and Alexandra Shalashova's white-kidding are somewhere behind the scenery. Local questioners prefer to keep silence or to crawl away, and M.Y.Sholohov ("Поднятая целина") with A.P.Chekhov ("Дядя Ваня") are quietly polite too. F.M.Dostoyevsky could, but not. 

The latter trend is so clearly observed in Serbian editorials that Dostoevsky is becoming the exclusive source for the "search for true values". However, one of the real reasons was enlighted by prof. Milo Lompar and writer Mukhorem Bazdul, who have marked the paradoxical dislike for Dostoevsky's novel "Demons" after Berlin wallfall.

Milletristics vs feargame: de vivida

The fiscal novel "Never" of Ken Follet, instead, is called to make bipolarity with strong woman's hands. American dream of the president is obsctacly planned picture, seems to be, drawn by resting Mycroft. Skipped on TV and СD layouts, atomophobic pulp is read dilligently.

The world where Devitt Klinton is giant elections` looser, where the main pigmie is more than blondcare, where her security advisor is Afro-American General, made by Edgar Allan Po`s Prize grossmeister, entertains. By author, a good novel must have not less than 50 dramatical scenes, - but, maybe 51-th exists to get full plot control and to be damn right. 

Richard Osman ("Two Tribes", "Insert Name Here", "The Fake News Show") is clubbing on Thursdays, and who knows where Tony Parsons, ex-neighbour of Boris Johnson, catches the sun witn conservative oldgitting. Neoromantic Donna Tartt, fearing for supernatural in the row American campus, towards it`s clubbing, vulgar superstition and psychotic miasmas, uses.

Dark-kidding plume, Tartt is one of most popular authors on this fair. "Involve with fear" is an old slogan of new fostery. Politeness of "copping first" is the flavour of EG narrow holes, with their brainsoft and romantical death banshing. 

Belgrad is overboring, Pulitzer`s next.
